TerraQ congratulates on seven more years of cutting-edge research in quantum science

QuantumFrontiers has prevailed in the second round of the federal government's Excellence Strategy competition and will be funded for a consecutive seven-year period from 2026.

The decision emphasises the outstanding research achievements and innovative collaboration of the more than 400 researchers from seven institutions in Lower Saxony.

In the coming years, the cluster members want to build on these successes and achieve even more ambitious goals in the field of quantum metrology. This includes, for example, further increasing the precision of atomic clocks, establishing new approaches in quantum computing and advancing practical applications in areas such as navigation and earth observation.

The success was made possible by the tireless commitment, outstanding expertise and creative collaboration of the scientists involved. They are the basis on which QuantumFrontiers has established itself as a globally recognised centre for quantum research.
