Eva Hackmann was recently awarded the professorship title, recognising her outstanding contributions to relativistic astrophysics and geodesy as well as her dedication to teaching.

Eva Hackmann has been at the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen since 2006 and is leading her own research group since 2014. Her research covers topics from relativistic astrophysics, with a particular focus on black holes, to geodesy, which involves measuring changes in the Earth's gravitational field. Her group also explores quantum objects in gravitational fields. Earlier this year, she was appointed to the Executive Board of the QuantumFrontiers excellence cluster led by the University of Hannover, further underlining her outstanding scientific work. The conferment of the professorship title honours her significant scientific achievements and ongoing commitment to research and teaching. Congratulations!
