TerraQ RTG jointly organized Lecture Week with IMPRS-GW and QFIRS

TerraQ RTG together with IMPRS-GW and QFIRS oranized the second Lecture Week of this year in October 4-8, 2021.

PhD students from different groups got together and learned basics of laser interferometry, quantum computing, and relativistic geodesy. This Lecture Week programme included Science Communication workshops led by professional trainers. The PhD students formed interdisciplinary teams and worked on various projects.

One of our PhD students attending the Lecture Week guided the participants to a laboratory tour of the 10 m Prototype Interferometer at the AEI and a team of GEO600 early career researchers made a laboratory tour. The Lecture Week ended with a guided tour of Hannover, where participants learned how the Leibniz Universität Hannover has expanded and how the city has developed.
